Psoriatic arthritis
I have a lady starting my classes who has the above condition. Her sacral vertebrae are fused,immovable and stiff. Her other joints are ok at the moment but do flare up from time to time. Any ideas?

This can be a very painful condition. I would avoid any lumbar/sacral extension exercises that can place more pressure on the discs. Anything prone should be done with a small pillow or towel under her pelvis.
If you are doing roll-ups place a small sofee ball at her lower back and have her only roll into it and then back up and forward.
Avoid lots of kneeling on the wrists for her. Modify on fists or elbows.
Side lying exercises may be o.k., again you can put extra padding under her hips if she has discomfort.
